Instagram has over time proven to be more than just a social media application, as each day it strives to include more exciting features that center on its principal purpose, leisure, but then again had incorporated the business angle of monetizing some services. The app has been a tool for a pastime to all its users affording them opportunities to view images and videos of individuals and brand owners.
One of the many unique features of this service is the sticker option that comes while you intend to post a story. The stickers which are a good example of Augmented Reality appear next to real and they range from caricature to other fun themes.
Instagram, on yet another feat, had introduced a blend of including Music to your videos, images, and stories. This feature provides a further thrill compared to just picture post as the music tells a better tale to the image or at least gets viewers' concentration span longer than before.
Today, with Instagram Stories, you can now add a soundtrack to your story that fits any moment and helps you express how you’re feeling.
Perhaps another reason to feel closer with friends and followers.
Below is how to go about adding Music to Instagram
There are two modes to how to have this done. One is with the use of a Music Sticker, while the second is Creating your video to then later post on the story.
- Make a new Instagram Story.
- Select the sticker icon located at the top of the screen.
- Select the Music sticker icon to select it.
- Choose a song from the pool.
- Choose the section of the song you want to hear.
- Click Done if uploaded.
One could use the Music sticker on any Instagram Story if you have access to it. When you're creating your story, tap the sticker icon at the top of the screen. To begin, tap on the Music sticker.
When you start, a new screen will appear where you can search for music based on Popular, Moods, and Genres. Instagram provides popular music that has been licensed for use in Instagram Stories. However, you can only use up to 15 seconds at a time (the length of a story), and the sticker will appear on your story while the song is playing, along with the title of the music and the artist listed.
Scroll through the songs and press the play button to listen to them or use the Search music field at the top of the screen to find something specific.
Click on a song to add it to your story. This will open a new screen where you can select the section of the song you want to play in your story by holding and dragging the box in the middle of the song's timeline.
In the case of video posts, the song length will be set to the length of your video clip. For static image posts, the length will be set to 15 seconds by default, but you can shorten the clip by tapping the 15 SECS key.
When you're finished, tap "Done." This will give your story a stamp of approval! Hold and drag to reposition or resize, and click for various display options, as shown below.
When you're finished, click Send to > to share your story with others!
Once you've finished posting your story, your friends who view it will hear the song playing as they view your photo or video. They'll also notice a sticker with the song title and artist's name on it. It is also pleasant to note that Instagram adds new songs to the music library every day.
