How to use WhatsApp without a SIM

TextNow Method.

The first method entails downloading the TextNow messaging app to your phone. This messaging app provides you with a one-of-a-kind phone number that you can enter into WhatsApp for verification.

1. Install TextNow on your device.

Download the TextNow app from the Google Play Store, iTunes App Store, or Windows Phone Store to your device. If you want to use WhatsApp on your PC, launch your Android emulator and search for TextNow.

2. Launch the TextNow app and take note of your phone number.

Once the TextNow app has been downloaded to your device, launch it and go through the setup process. Once the app is set up note down your number.

In case TextNow does not show you your number or you forgot to note down your number you can find out your TextNow number if you click on the 3-line icon which is located in the top left corner of your Android, iPhone, iPod, or iPad. you should be seeing your phone number there, while Windows users could navigate to the People tab and view number.

3. Launch WhatsApp and verify your phone number.

After you've written down your TextNow number, launch WhatsApp on your device and proceed to steps 3.1 to 3.5 below.

3.1. In WhatsApp, enter your TextNow number.

Once you've agreed to WhatsApp's terms and conditions, you'll be asked to enter your phone number. When prompted to enter your phone number, choose your country and the TextNow number.

3.2. Wait for SMS verification to fail.

Wait for SMS verification to fail for 5 minutes. You will be prompted to call your number if SMS verification fails.

3.3. Obtain Verification Code

Open the TextNow app on your device, you should receive a call from WhatsApp. When you answer the phone, an automated message from WhatsApp will repeat your verification code several times. Make a note of your verification number.

3.4. Enter Verification Code

Now, into WhatsApp, enter the verification code you received from the automated call.

3.5. Complete Setup

After entering your code, finish the setup process in WhatsApp. You've now created a WhatsApp account without a phone number.

If this method does not work for you, you can try another app called TextPlus or the second method below.

 Landline Method.

This method will be to verify WhatsApp using your existing home phone/landline number. To use WhatsApp without a mobile phone number or SIM card, simply follow the steps below.

1. Launch WhatsApp on your device.

2. Enter Your Landline/Home Phone Number.

When asked to enter your phone number, choose your country, and enter your home phone/landline number.

3. Wait for SMS verification to fail.

After about 5 minutes, SMS verification will fail, and you will be given the option to Call Me. To receive a call from WhatsApp, select the Call Me option and enter your home phone/landline number.

4. Enter the Verification Code

You will now receive an automated call from WhatsApp to your landline number. An automated voice will repeatedly repeat your 6-digit verification code. Take note of this verification code and enter it into WhatsApp.

5. Complete the Setup Procedure

Once you've verified WhatsApp on your device, finish the setup process and you're ready to start talking.
